WICKED to Offer $25 Lottery at Marcus Center for the Performing Arts, Begin. 6/12
(6/5/2013) - A day-of-performance lottery for a limited number of orchestra seats will be held for WICKED, which is returning to the Marcus Center with performances from June 12-July 7. Two and one-half hours prior to each performance, people who present themselves at the Marcus Center box office will have their names placed in a lottery drum; thirty minutes later, names will be drawn for a limited number of orchestra seats at $25 each, cash only. This lottery is available only in-person at the box office, with a limit of two tickets per person. Lottery participants must have a valid photo ID when submitting their entry form and, if chosen, when purchasing tickets.

Milwaukee Chamber Theatre's Annual Gala Set for 6/21
(5/29/2013) - Milwaukee Chamber Theatre (MCT) will host their annual gala, "Cheers to Chamber! MCT in Bloom" on Friday, June 21 from 7:00 p.m. -10:00 p.m. The gala will be held at the Florentine Opera Center located at 926 E. Burleigh Street in the heart of Milwaukee's dynamic Riverwest neighborhood. Event tickets are $95 per person, with proceeds benefiting Milwaukee Chamber Theatre's artistic and education programming.

Scott Emmons Named Dean of UWM's Peck School of the Arts
(5/15/2013) - Scott Emmons has been named dean of the Peck School of the Arts at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM). Emmons, a professor of music education, joined the UWM faculty in 1992. He has served as interim dean of the Peck School during the 2012-13 Year of the Arts at UWM, a celebration of the Peck School's 50th anniversary.
Dixie Longate Set to Tour Milwaukee Landmarks, 5/15
(5/14/2013) - Dixie Longate, star of Dixie's Tupperware Party, will be touring Milwaukee landmarks during her press tour on Wednesday, May 15 with transportation by Bell Ambulance. During her tour, she will be making a special stop at the Milwaukee Public Market and La Perla. Dixie will make her stop at the Milwaukee Public Market, 400 North Water Street, at11:30 am and at La Perla, 734 South 5th Street, at 12:00 pm on the 15th. During this time, she will be taking photos with patrons and various Milwaukee landmarks. This tour will kick off her engagement at the Marcus Center's Vogel Hall that runs May 14-26.
Marcus Center For The Performing Arts Releases Updated Schedule for LIVE @ PECK PAVILION
(5/10/2013) - The Marcus Center for the Performing Arts announces a change in the line up of the 2013 Live @ Peck Pavilion series in Marcus Center's Peck Pavilion that will kick off this July. This series, which started last summer, will now feature The Spirit Family Reunion on Tuesday, August 20 at 7:30 pm. The series will also include types of performances the Center typically presents inside the building on its newly updated grounds. This is a way for the Marcus Center to invite the public to sample the arts in a marvelous setting for a nominal cost.
