The teams have been announced for the show's upcoming 20th season. There was a rumor that Rachel and Brendon from 'Big Brother' would be competing this show and the rumor is true. Here's information about all of the teams.
That’s right, Big Brother repeat offenders Rachel Reilly and Brendon Villegas have become the latest pair of CBS reality stars to try their hand at sprinting across the globe for a million dollars when season 20 of The Amazing Race kicks off on Feb. 19 at 8pm.
They only bring on couples from other CBS shows (Survivor and Big Brother) and only one couple at a time, so it doesn't irk me too much. Especially since they never seem to win. My objection is the choice in team this time around.
She was a Chemistry major in college, but was an Event Hostess at one of the Las Vegas pools during Big Brother. I'm assuming she is unemployed since moving to LA.
The Brenchel drama was HILARIOUS. I love hearing Brendan talk about how "trashy" other people are totally devoid of any self-awareness. I know this couple SO WELL. I've had personal experience with people EXACTLY like this. They simply cannot let a day pass without playing out some massive dramatic crisis. They measure their existence by the amount of attention and sympathy they can receive by escalating emotions to a melodramatic state and claiming anyone they dislike is an inferior human being. Hypocrisy is a foreign concept to them because they live a completely fictional existence.
I think if Brendan ever came out of the closet, he might stop acting like a crazy Gingrich supporter. Yeah, I saw the naked photos and though they are not homosexual in nature, they look like they could have come from any-gay-cruising-site-dot-com. I don't want to perpetuate stereotypes, but he might as well be married to a Bachmann.
Finally have caught up on this show. I'm not really a Big Brother devotee and don't find this Rachel creature amusing nor entertaining -- neither Rachel A nor Rachel B on this season, for that matter, nor their male counterparts. But I like even them more than I like those smug border patrol guys. And the Kentucky guys seem a little too put-on, to me. Kind of like Paula Deen.
Guess I'm rooting for...uh...the federal agent kindergarten teachers and the steroided-up Brendan Frasier team, just because they hate Rachel A, too. I was surprised the Joaquin Phoenix Wondertwins didn't last longer.
