Students from the Daniels-Mardak Boys and Girls Club will perform FOLK TALES FOR ALL FOLK on Friday, May 18 at 6 p.m. at the Milwaukee Youth Arts Center, 325 West Walnut Street in downtown Milwaukee. The performance will feature stories, music, dance, puppetry and more. There is no cost for this performance and the public is invited and encouraged to attend.

FOLK TALES FOR ALL FOLK is the culmination of a year-long residency program the students participated in through First Stage’s Community Partnership Program. The students have worked with teaching artists from First Stage throughout the academic year exploring stories and cultures from around the world through education and theater. The production-based residency program exposes students to the art of theater, potentially for the first time, developing foundational theater skills training.

FOLK TALES FOR ALL FOLK will last approximately 30 minutes and will be followed by a brief reception. Please contact First Stage’s Theater in Education Department for more information at (414) 267-2978.
