Apple Holler's Red Barn Dinner Theatre Presents The Kitchen Witches

Apple-Hollers-Red-Barn-Dinner-Theatre-Presents-The-Kitchen-Witches-20010101

Apple Holler's Red Barn Dinner Theatre is set to present, The Kitchen Witches, a rip-roaring comedy written by Caroline Smith. Opening today and running through November 19, 2011, The Kitchen Witches is certain to give guests a "cackling fantastic" dinner theatre experience!

Isobel Lomax and Dolly Biddle are two "mature" cable-access cooking show hostesses who have hated each other for 30 years, ever since Larry Biddle dated one and married the other. When circumstances put them together on a TV show called The Kitchen Witches, the insults are flung harder than the food! Dolly's long-suffering TV-producer son Stephen, tries to keep them on track, but as long as Dolly's dressing room is one inch closer to the set than Isobel's, it's a losing battle. The show ends up becoming a rating smash as Dolly and Isobel top both Martha Stewart and Jerry Springer!

Red Barn Theatre guests will recognize the familiar faces of this cast of four. Playing the role of the highly animated and over-indulging Dolly is Apple Holler's regular performer, Tammy Zeller. Zeller was last seen on the Red Barn stage as the zany Lucy Bicardi in the 2010, "Trouble at the Tropicabana - An I Love Lucy Murder Mystery". The self-proclaimed, "classy" Isobel Lomax will be played by Apple Holler's own Entertainment Director, Heather Clayton. Filling the role of Stephen, Dolly's insecure son and low-budget cable show producer, is Richard Morales. Morales has had many Red Barn guests "rolling in the aisles" with his fabulous character portrayals such as Detective Jackart in, "The Honeymooners on the Disoriented Express" and Mr. Big in "Trouble at the Tropicabana". Finishing the cast is the Red Barn Theatre's resident stage manager, Mariah Schmidt. Schmidt will appropriately play the role of often seen, but not heard, Robbi, the stage manager of Dolly's cooking show.

Apple Holler's presentation of The Kitchen Witches is offered as dinner or luncheon theatre, during select dates and times beginning October 4th through November 19th, 2011. The price of $49.95 per person includes: a four-course themed wine dinner with wonderfully paired Wisconsin wine samples, beverage, dessert, tax, tip, and the performance. All performances are by reservation only. Call (262) 886-8500 for further information, to inquire about show dates, or to make reservations. Information is also available online at www.appleholler.com.

The Apple Holler Family Farm is located between Racine and Kenosha, on the west Frontage Road off I-94, just north of highway KR, at exit 337. The Apple Holler Family Farm is a restaurant, Farm Park, bakery, country store and apple orchard, and features many entertainment activities, including: Apple Holler Farm Park, the Red Barn Musical Theatre shows, gemstone mining, outdoor entertainment attractions, children's shows, barnyard animals, outdoor play areas for children, hay wagon rides, horse-drawn sleigh rides, private catered events, a seasonal flower market, and fall apple and pumpkin festivals.
